Introducing the Blue Lip Baits Pygmy Mussel Lure, the newest addition to our line of Bream lures. Engineered to withstand the rigors of Australian fishing conditions, this ultra-realistic lure mimics the appearance and movement of a Blue Mussel, making it ideal for targeting Bream and other estuarine species.

Available in two weight options—light (1.3) and heavy (2.2)—the Pygmy Mussel Lure is most effective when cast near natural mussel habitats such as bridges, jetties, pontoons, boats, and submerged timber.

Fishing Technique: Unlike other lures, the Pygmy Mussel is designed to be fished using a “dead stick” technique. Cast it close to structures and use subtle rod movements to simulate a mussel gliding along the muddy bottom. Most strikes occur during the lure’s initial descent through the water column.

Developed and rigorously tested by tournament anglers in Western Australia, this lure has proven highly effective in catching sizable Bream.
